Rail Telecoms Systems Engineering Manager required for Light Rail Tram Network in Sheffield.

Hybrid, 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH.
Salary £52K- £56K + excellent benefits package
Rail Telecoms Systems Engineering Manager required to manage the condition and performance of the rail telecoms infrastructure systems (including SCADA, LRT signalling, Automatic Vehicle Location System, Radio, CCTV etc.) such that the assets are safe and complaint with all legislation and best industry practice,
Develops and maintains engineering standards, specifications and strategic asset management plans for the systems. Provides assurance of the Operator’s maintenance activities to ensure maintenance is being undertaken as defined in agreed maintenance plans/Key Performance Indicators and engineering risks are robustly managed.
Define and maintain technical standards for light rail systems, including functionality, performance, reliability and maintainability.
Develop and deliver the long-term strategic asset management plans for all light rail systems, including major lifecycle renewals and life extension works, to ensure the lifespan and availability of the assets are optimised. This includes definition, sourcing and management of necessary budgets and resources.
Experience Required:
Educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
Proven experience working in an engineering/asset management role within the heavy or light rail industry.
Demonstrable knowledge and technical competence in a discipline relating to light rail systems in light or heavy rail.
Demonstrable knowledge of the recognised and relevant associated standards, legislation and specifications for light and heavy rail.
Proven record in risk management of ail systems and the assets which form the systems.
Strong Stakeholder Management Skills.
Strong Communication skills
