Talent Guardian is collaborating with a client in Maidstone to find a highly motivated Graduate Data Scientist to join their expanding data and analytics team.

This role offers the opportunity to apply degree-level skills to build advanced models that significantly impact the business. The data scientist will have the flexibility to determine the approach to problems and develop effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the data team to build clean and robust data pipelines.
Utilise vast amounts of data in the data warehouse to produce machine learning models that aid business decisions.
Work with the Head of Data and Analytics to explore how artificial intelligence can improve efficiency.
Assist data analysts with ad-hoc data requests as needed.
Present organised data and model outputs in a readable and understandable format to senior management. Skills and Experience:

Strong academic background with a degree in computer science (2:1 and above).
Solid numerical background with knowledge of key statistical principles, e.g., Bayesian and frequentist statistics, probability distributions.
Fundamental understanding of ML algorithms, e.g., linear regression, random forest.
Experience with multiple programming languages, preferably SQL and Python.
Ability to interpret and communicate statistical results to non-technical stakeholders.
Self-educating, curious, and pragmatic, with a solution-oriented mindset. Working Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm, hybrid available after probation!
