About this Role:
We're looking for a driven Site Manager for a £50m+ new-build scheme near Salisbury, starting later this year on a 24-month programme.
Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site-based construction activities across your assigned areas and packages. This will include short-term programming, health and safety, reviewing method statements and risk assessments, calling off materials, logistics, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, progress reporting, snagging and handover.
About the Contractor:
This opportunity is with the busy Southampton regional office of a leading Tier 1 national main contractor, which has an annual regional turnover of circa £100m and a proven track record of delivering new-build and refurbishment schemes across the education, defence, local authority, blue-light, commercial, student accommodation, and sport and leisure sectors.
The regional office typically covers Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset.
Requirements, Qualifications and Experience:
Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
At least five years' experience as a Site Manager.
Strong technical, organisational, people-management and communication skills.
A proactive and highly motivated approach.
A background in trades, construction management or engineering, with excellent attention to detail.
Strong planning and problem-solving abilities, with a positive, 'right first time' approach.
A proven track record of successfully delivering projects, prioritising safety, quality, client relationships and supply chain relationships.
Previous experience working for a top 20 main contractor would be advantageous.
