Client Snapshot:

An excellent opportunity has become available to join a specialist substance misuse service supporting adults affected by drug and alcohol issues. The service works closely with criminal justice partners to provide tailored interventions, reduce reoffending, and support individuals towards sustainable recovery and improved wellbeing.

Vacancy Brief:

* The role is that of a Criminal Justice Worker supporting service users involved with the criminal justice system.

* Temporary opportunity based in Enfield.

* Full-time position, Monday – Friday.

* Pay Rate: £17.00 PAYE.

* Supporting adults affected by substance misuse, offending behaviour, and complex needs.

* Experience completing Alcohol Treatment Requirement (ATR) and Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR) reports is essential.

* The role involves partnership working with Probation, Police, Courts, Prisons, Housing, Health Services, and community agencies.

The Responsibilities:

* Manage a caseload of service users, developing, implementing, and reviewing personalised recovery plans.

* Complete assessments, risk management plans, and deliver appropriate interventions to support recovery and reduce offending.

* Provide structured 1-2-1 support, including motivational interviewing and psychosocial interventions.

* Complete ATR and DRR reports, providing accurate information to referring and criminal justice agencies.

* Liaise with Probation, Courts, Police, Liaison & Diversion teams, prisons, housing providers, and community partners.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, including assessments, care plans, risk assessments, and progress notes.

* Promote safeguarding, harm reduction, recovery, and positive outcomes for service users.

* Work collaboratively with mentors, volunteers, families, and wider support networks.

The Essentials:

* Experience working within criminal justice and/or substance misuse services.

* Essential experience completing ATR and DRR reports.

* Strong understanding of substance misuse interventions, recovery planning, and harm reduction approaches.

* Experience managing a caseload and completing risk assessments.

* Knowledge of criminal justice services, statutory orders, and community interventions.

* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards this.

* Excellent communication, assessment, and partnership-working skills.

* Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce).
