A leading charity based in Harlow are looking to recruit a Criminal Justice/Recovery Worker for a full-time locum role, offering between £20.05-£21.12/h via umbrella on an ongoing basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

This role provides a unique chance to positively impact the lives of individuals within the criminal justice system. As a Criminal Justice/Outreach Worker, you will be at the forefront of supporting and guiding individuals, helping them reintegrate into society and lead productive lives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of empathy, resilience, and strong communication skills. A background in criminal justice, or the substance misuse field is essential, along with experience in outreach or community work. The ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and maintain professional boundaries is crucial. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of the criminal justice system and the challenges faced by those within it.

Key Duties include

• To carry out comprehensive substance use assessments including assessment of personal strengths and identification of any risk factors

• Formulate, monitor and review risk assessments and risk management plans that effectively safeguard and protect service users and families/carers from harm

• To develop person centred recovery plans using a strength based approach in partnership with service users and others involved in their support network

• Maintain a high standard of case notes and prepare and present narrative reports as required

• Effective delivery of Group intervention sessions

• Consistent, timely and accurate collection, recording and reporting of data and information relating to a client treatment journey

• Ensuring achievement of key performance indicators relevant to your role

The role will also included blended responsibilities with other teams focusing on Substance Misuse and/or Housing. As such, the manager is happy to consider applicants who have experience in any of these sectors.

The role includes working Monday – Friday 9-5 on a rolling contract basis with a view to potentially going permanent in the future.
