SHEQ Divisional Director
Our client is seeking an experienced SHEQ Divisional Director to lead their safety, health, environment, and quality operations within the power utilities sector. This is a permanent position that involves overseeing major projects and DNO frameworks, with a focus on ensuring compliance and excellence in SHEQ standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing SHEQ strategies for the power division
Managing SHEQ activities across major projects and DNO frameworks
Reporting into the SHEQ Director and ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives
Leading and mentoring a team of SHEQ professionals
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in projects ranging from 11kV to 132kV
Conducting regular audits and inspections to enforce SHEQ standards
Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and quality
Driving continuous improvement initiatives in SHEQ practices
Job Requirements:
Experience in health & safety management, particularly within power utilities and distribution
Strong understanding of ICP and DNO operations
Proficiency in managing projects of capacities from 11kV to 132kV
NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma, minmum.
Bachelor or Masters in Occupational Health & Safety
TECHIOSH or CMIOSH - Desirable
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to develop and implement effective SHEQ strategies
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, environment, and quality
