Workshop Controller

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable, family-run automotive workshop in Farnham, for the position of Workshop Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced motor trade professional to lead a dedicated service team within a supportive, stable environment. Benefits:

Competitive basic salary, dependent on experience
OTE up to £45,000 per annum
Monday to Friday working hours from 8am to 6pm
No weekend work required
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
Full-time permanent position with standard 45-hour week

Manage a team of 8 vehicle techniciansDuties as a Workshop Controller will include:

Oversee day-to-day workshop operations ensuring efficient workflow
Lead and motivate a team of vehicle technicians to meet service targets
Allocate work effectively and monitor progress throughout shifts
Deliver exceptional customer service and liaise with clients professionally
Ensure workshop compliance with health and safety standards
Manage work schedules to optimise productivity and profitability
Maintain high standards of workshop organisation and cleanliness
Support continuous team development through mentoring and coachingRequirements:

Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or in a comparable managerial role
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organisational and communication abilities
Automotive technical understanding and industry knowledge
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
