Shift: Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00, Friday: 07:00 - 13:00 (early finish every week)

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a Quality & Inspection team within an AS9100-certified aerospace manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all machined components meet customer specifications and quality standards before progressing through production or being dispatched to customers.

This role is ideal for an experienced aerospace inspector who takes pride in producing high-quality work, has excellent attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out 100% visual and dimensional inspection of machined components using Mantis Visio systems, Vernier calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment.
Ensure all components conform to engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements prior to release.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and customer specifications accurately.
Identify, report, and support investigations into non-conforming products, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
Support the Quality Manager with day-to-day inspection activities and quality administration.
Organise and monitor inspection gauges and measuring equipment, ensuring calibration schedules are maintained.
Work closely with production and quality teams to achieve inspection targets and meet customer delivery deadlines.
Ensure all inspection activities comply with AS9100 quality management system requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in an aerospace quality inspection or manufacturing environment (essential).
A strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection procedures.
Experience using precision measuring equipment, including Vernier calipers, micrometers, and optical inspection systems.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and inspection records.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
A continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to develop new skills.Apply
