Role Overview:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure. Your expertise will help us optimise our cloud and on-premise environments, allowing us to deliver exceptional services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure solutions, including Servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimise application deployment and performance.
  • Implement security best practises and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain knowledge continuity.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for critical incidents as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualisation technologies.
  • Proficiency in Scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Understanding of security protocols and best practises in infrastructure management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
