Spire Southampton Hospital is looking for an experienced and motivated Bank Diagnostic Radiographer to join our Radiology team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Diagnostic Radiographer looking for a varied role within a busy private hospital environment. You'll support a broad range of diagnostic imaging services, helping to deliver a high-quality, efficient service that puts patient care at the heart of everything we do.
A significant part of this role involves supporting our Theatre teams, so we're looking for someone who is confident and competent working within a theatre environment and supporting a variety of surgical procedures. Alongside Theatre work, you'll support General X-ray services and other imaging modalities depending on your skills and experience.

As a Bank Diagnostic Radiographer, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services, supporting patients through every stage of their healthcare journey.

Working alongside consultants, clinicians, theatre teams and multidisciplinary colleagues, you'll play an important role in supporting diagnosis, treatment and positive patient outcomes. We would also be keen to hear from radiographers with significant CT and/or MRI experience, as there may be opportunities to utilise these skills depending on competence and service requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services in line with clinical protocols, safety standards and best practice
Provide imaging support within Theatre, working safely and effectively alongside consultants and multidisciplinary teams during procedures
Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images to support clinical decision-making
Deliver a professional, compassionate and reassuring experience for every patient
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R regulations, radiation protection standards and governance requirements
Participate in the departmental on-call rota as required
Work collaboratively with consultants, clinicians, theatre teams and the wider multidisciplinary team
Support service efficiency and a smooth patient journey from referral through to diagnosis
Maintain professional knowledge through ongoing learning and developmentWho we're looking for:
Contract: Bank
Days/Hours: Flexible Bank shifts between 07:30 - 21:00, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for weekend working and participation in the 24/7 on-call rota.
HCPC registered Radiographer with no restrictions on practice
Previous experience as a Diagnostic Radiographer within a hospital environment
Confident and competent working within a Theatre environment
Experience in General X-ray
Significant CT and/or MRI experience would be advantageous
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach
Flexible, adaptable and comfortable working across a busy imaging service
A reliable team player committed to high standards of clinical care
Able to commit to a minimum of one shift per week
Weekend and on-call availability would be welcomed
