Alecto Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading plant hire and construction machinery specialist in the Preston area. Our client is looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their workshop and field service team - working on some of the biggest names in construction equipment: JCB, Kubota, Bomag, Hamm, Terex, Hitachi, Volvo and Yanmar.
What's in it for you:
£41,000 basic salary - a genuinely strong basic for a 45-hour week
Overtime paid at 1.5x your hourly rate - your extra hours actually count
21 days holiday plus bank holidays - proper time off to recharge
Hands-on variety: fault finding, servicing, and repairing plant and construction machinery both on customer sites and back at our depot
Work with premium, well-maintained kit from industry-leading brands

Fault finding, diagnostics, servicing and repairs across a range of construction machinery
Site-based work as well as depot-based work

Accurate completion of job sheets and service paperwork - you take pride in doing it right first timeWhat we're looking for:
A time-served Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, or Construction Equipment Technician with hands-on fault-finding experience
Strong hydraulics, diesel engine, and electrical diagnostic knowledge
A full UK driving licence
