Working through TeacherActive gives you the opportunity to experience different environments while receiving ongoing support from a dedicated consultant throughout your journey.
The Role
• Monday to Friday
• Flexible working hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm
• Full-time and long-term opportunities available
• Competitive hourly pay from £14.25 per hour, with higher rates available depending on qualifications and experience
Qualifications
• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A passion for supporting children's learning and development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one through TeacherActive)
• Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years
• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through play-based learning
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Ensure the safety and welfare of all children at all times
• Observe, assess and record children's progress where required
• Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor play
• Maintain a clean, safe and stimulating learning environment
• Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety
• Work collaboratively with the nursery team to create a positive and inclusive environment
• Be flexible to work across different rooms within the nursery when required
