Mechanical Construction Manager - Commercial Fit-Out
Central London | £65,000 - £75,000 + Travel + Bonus + Healthcare + Pension
Are you a Mechanical Construction Manager looking to join one of London's leading M&E contractors and take ownership of high-profile commercial fit-out projects?
Our client is a well-established £50m turnover M&E contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex commercial fit-out projects across Central London. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their growing operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects ranging from £5m to £20m M&E value, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of the mechanical installation from pre-start through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
As Mechanical Construction Manager, you will be responsible for leading all mechanical site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and coordinating all mechanical site activities.
Leading mechanical supervisors, subcontractors and direct labour on site.
Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with programme milestones.
Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team.
Managing labour resources and subcontractor performance.
Attending site meetings and liaising with clients, consultants and main contractors.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
Overseeing QA procedures, inspections, commissioning and project handover.
Identifying and resolving on-site technical and programme issues.
Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
To be considered, you should have:
A relevant mechanical qualification.
A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Supervisor, Site Manager or Construction Manager.
Experience delivering mechanical packages on commercial construction projects.
Commercial fit-out experience is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme delivery.
A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills.
