Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire (including nearby towns and villages)
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Supply / Long-term opportunities
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to work across schools in Wisbech and the surrounding area. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), supporting them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will work with pupils who may have a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. You will plan and deliver tailored lessons, adapt learning materials, and create a supportive classroom environment that encourages progress and confidence.

You may work within specialist SEN settings, mainstream schools with SEN provisions, or through flexible supply placements depending on your experience and preference.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs

* Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment

* Use a range of strategies to support behaviour and engagement

* Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals

* Track and report pupil progress in line with school policies

* Build positive relationships with pupils and families

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential)

* Experience working with children with SEN (school or specialist setting)

* Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies

* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

* A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
