SEN ENGLISH TEACHER
Salary: £28,288 - £44,304 per year based on 40 hours per week
Contract: Full time, permanent position.
Location: Wisbech
Start date: As soon as possible or September 2026School Staffing Solutions are working with a secondary SEN school in Wisbech who require a SEN English Teacher to mentor and support their pupils.The school provides high quality learning experiences within a small, focused nurturing environment to secondary school aged children who have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories
Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Promote pupils' social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective supportThe successful candidate will have:
Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in special education settings
Previous experience Teaching English
QTS/QTLS qualification
Commitment to professional conduct, safeguarding, and the Staff Code of Conduct.
Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching and learning
Resilience, empathy, adaptability, and passion for supporting vulnerable pupilsBenefits:
