SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Rossendale

Veritas Education are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rossendale who are seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with additional needs both on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role

Providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
Supporting learning, communication and social development
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them achieve their full potential

The Ideal Candidate

Has previous experience working with children with SEN in a school, care or support setting
Is patient, nurturing and adaptable
Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Can work effectively as part of a wider school team
Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
