Teaching Assistant – Blackburn Primary School
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Blackburn for a temporary assignment throughout the Autumn Term, with a minimum commitment of one full term.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, or individuals with relevant childcare, education, or youth work experience who are passionate about supporting children in their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2.
Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Support children with varying learning needs and abilities.
Assist with preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
Requirements
Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable.
A positive, patient, and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Relevant qualifications in Education, Childcare, or Teaching Assistance are advantageous.
