Chetham’s School of Music is seeking a Sports and Activities Coach to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in city centre Manchester. Chetham’s is a magical place, home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest library in the English speaking world and a world-class concert venue all in the heart of Manchester.
The job
We are looking for an inspiring and reliable Sports and Activities Coach with experience of working with children and young people to provide fitness instruction and sports activities to students aged 8 – 18 years.
This is a permanent position, working 20 hours per week during term time, with some evening and weekend work required.
You will organise extra-curricular activities and lessons which address the needs and interests of our children and young people, including devising a range of games and activities which encourage the students to have fun, whilst maintaining a level of fitness, promoting wellbeing and co-ordinating of trips and excursions which enrich student experience.
You will take charge of the opening and closing of the school gym in the evenings, some weekends and supervising the students while using it.
You will Teach some PE lessons.
You will lead on sports club with the juniors.In return
Salary, SCP 31 £17,999.63 per annum (£41,075.55 FTE).
