THE ROLE
As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you'll be responsible for removing, repairing, and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
·Strip and rebuild vehicles following manufacturer repair methods.
·Diagnose faults identified during the repair process.
·Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and industry quality standards.
·Work closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, and Vehicle Damage Assessors to maintain efficient workflow.
·Complete repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
·Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
·Carry out final quality checks before vehicles move to the next repair stage.

We're looking for a skilled and motivated individual with previous accident repair experience.
Alternative job titles include MET Technician, Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician, Automotive MET Technician.
You should have:
·Previous experience as an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician within a Bodyshop or accident repair centre.
·Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
·Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and trim removal and refitting.
·The ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
·Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
·A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
·A full UK driving licence.
