Job Title: Workshop Controller

Overview:
Unify are thrilled to be recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join an established Plant Hire company focusing on the construction sector who are based in Weston Super Mare.
You'll be the contact for all workshop-related activity; coordinating and planning the response for breakdowns, servicing and routine maintenance.
What do I need?
* Proven experience in a Service Coordination, Customer Service, Service Advisor or Workshop Support role preferably within construction plant, car dealership, equipment hires or a similarly fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities and stay calm under pressure.
* Confident and clear communicator, both on calls and via email.
* Competency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital maintenance or asset tracking tools.
Responsibilities:
* Take charge of allocating maintenance tasks to technicians, ensuring they are fully equipped with the right tools, parts and information to deliver top-quality fixes on the first attempt.
* Oversee the involvement of external engineers and service providers, including handling purchase orders and processing invoices.
* Plan and schedule regular servicing and compliance inspections to minimise unplanned downtime and keep everything operating smoothly.
* Collaborate closely with the equipment hire team to manage fleet availability and arrange backup machinery when required.
* Investigate and process damage-related repairs, including identifying chargeable issues, sourcing replacement components, and issuing invoices accordingly.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs for repairs, servicing history, stock levels, and maintenance schedules
