Our client is looking for two experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their commercial team on a high-profile Overhead Line (OHL) project based in Waltham Cross. This is an excellent opportunity to support the commercial delivery of a nationally significant energy infrastructure scheme while working alongside an experienced project team.
Job Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of the project, ensuring costs are effectively controlled and contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with Project Managers and the wider commercial team, you'll prepare commercial reports, manage subcontractor accounts, administer compensation events, monitor project risks, and contribute to financial reporting and forecasting. You'll also identify variations and claims, attend project meetings, and ensure all commercial activities are delivered in line with company procedures and Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within utilities, energy, civil engineering or infrastructure
Experience working on overhead line, transmission, utilities or major infrastructure projects is desirable
Good understanding of NEC contracts
Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts
Knowledge of compensation events and commercial change management
Strong commercial awareness with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Full UK Driving Licence
