St Albans | Full-Time | Permanent | £25,000–£30,000 DOE

We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected professional services organisation for an enthusiastic Receptionist / Business Administrator to become the face of their St Albans office.
This is far more than a traditional reception role. You'll be the first point of contact for clients while also supporting a range of business functions including administration, HR, events, learning & development and internal projects. The Role You'll play a key part in ensuring the office runs smoothly while delivering an exceptional experience for clients and visitors. Working alongside a friendly, collaborative team, you'll enjoy a varied workload where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities Reception & Front of House
Welcome clients and visitors with a warm, professional approach
Answer and direct incoming calls
Coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure rooms are presentation-ready
Prepare refreshments for client meetings
Manage incoming and outgoing post, couriers and deliveries
Organise catering and office supplies
Maintain visitor logs and assist with office security procedures
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the office Business Administration
Diary management and meeting coordination
Prepare business correspondence and documentation
Support client onboarding and compliance administration
Scan, file and maintain confidential documents
Update internal databases and document management systems
Assist with HR administration and Learning & Development activities
Help organise company events, charity initiatives and employee engagement activities
Support business improvement projects and provide administration across multiple departments About You We're looking for someone who is:

Exceptionally organised with great attention to detail
Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
Able to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proactive and happy to take ownership of their work

Previous experience in reception, administration or customer service
Excellent communication skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Professional telephone manner
Excellent organisational and time management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail Desirable
Experience within a professional services environment
