Start Date: September
Contract Type: Full-Time

Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring Year 5 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in St Albans from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting pupils during a key stage in their primary education. The successful candidate will create a stimulating, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued, challenged, and motivated to achieve their full potential as they prepare for the transition into Upper Key Stage 2.

Working as part of a collaborative and experienced Key Stage 2 team, you will plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that promote academic excellence while supporting pupils' social and emotional development. • Assess, monitor, and track pupils' progress, using assessment to inform future planning and ensure excellent outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities and school events.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in a Year 5 class, in a UK primary school.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and Year 5 expectations.
• Is passionate about delivering engaging, high-quality teaching that inspires every child to succeed.
• Promotes inclusive teaching practices and supports the needs of every pupil.
• Has a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

What We Offer

• Competitive weekly pay in line with the MPS/UPS pay scale.
• Dedicated support from experienced local education consultants.
• Access to high-quality CPD and professional development opportunities.
• Comprehensive safeguarding training.
• Opportunities to work within supportive and well-resourced schools.
• Weekly pay with a straightforward payroll process.
• Refer a Friend Scheme – earn £100 for every successful referral who completes five or more shifts.

If you're a committed Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in Watford, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to secure your role for September.
