Job Title: Helpdesk Parts Team Leader
Location: Glasgow Head Office
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week | 5 days over 7
Salary: £30,141.72 + (depending on experience)
About the role
We're looking for an experienced Parts Ordering Team Leader to run the day-to-day operations of our parts ordering team in Glasgow. You'll manage a small team, own supplier relationships, and make sure the right parts arrive at the right time — keeping downtime and costs to a minimum.
What you'll do
* Lead, coach, and develop the parts ordering team, setting daily priorities and workloads
* Manage the end-to-end ordering process: raising purchase orders, chasing deliveries, and resolving discrepancies
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
* Understand stock levels and Chevron parts with key suppliers
* Track team KPIs (order accuracy, turnaround time, backorders) and report to management
* Improve processes and systems to make ordering faster and more accurate
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in parts ordering, procurement, or stock control
* Previous team leader or supervisory experience
* Confident with stock management/ERP systems and Excel
* Strong communicator, comfortable dealing with suppliers and internal teams
* Organised, accurate, and calm under pressure
