HV Maintenance Engineer - Scotland / Central Belt
Confero Recruitment Group is delighted to be supporting a leading engineering M&E services provider in the recruitment of an HV Maintenance Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation delivering critical electrical infrastructure services across a diverse range of commercial, industrial, and utility environments throughout the UK.
As an HV Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of high-voltage electrical systems, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of key electrical assets.
RKey Responsibilities:
* Perform planned and emergency maintenance on HV electrical equipment.
* Conduct testing, inspections, and fault-finding on switchgear, transformers, and associated systems.
* Ensure all work complies with UK electrical standards and health and safety regulations.
* Complete maintenance records and technical reports.
* Support commissioning activities and respond to emergency call-outs when required.
Requirements:
* Experience working on high-voltage electrical systems.
* Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
* Authorised Person (AP) status or willingness to work towards it is desirable.
* Good fault-finding skills and knowledge of UK electrical safety standards.
* Full UK driving licence.
