Health & Safety Manager (CDM Specialist) | Ipswich | Circa £350–£400/day
An urgent, 2-month contract is available for a Health and Safety Manager with strong Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) experience. The role starts this coming Monday, July 27th, in Ipswich, with potential for extension into September. Accommodation can be provided depending on the final agreed day rate.
Role Overview
You will oversee all aspects of Health, Safety, and Temporary Works during a major machinery and equipment installation project. Working closely with the Principal Contractor’s Project Management team and Safety Division, you will ensure full site compliance, workforce oversight, and safe operations of heavy plant and cranes.
Key Requirements
* CDM Expertise: Proven experience managing safety compliance under CDM regulations.
* Heavy Engineering: Background in machinery removal, production line installations, or factory fit-outs.
* Qualifications: Valid NEBOSH certificate and a relevant site safety card (e.g., SMSTS, SSSTS or CSCS).
* Availability: Must be ready to start on-site this coming Monday, July 27th.
Shift Pattern & Logistics
* Initial Schedule: 12 days on, 2 days off (weekend).
* Hours: 12-hour shifts (06:00 to 18:00).
* Projected Shift Change: Hours may drop to Monday to Friday in August, depending on project progress.
* Duration: Expected to run until the end of August, with a potential extension into September.
