Are you looking to start a career in plant engineering and construction equipment maintenance?
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Plant Fitter to join our team and develop the skills required to become a qualified Plant Fitter. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in mechanics, engineering, and heavy plant equipment to gain valuable practical experience while working towards a recognised industry qualification.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will receive structured training and hands-on exposure to the servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of a wide range of construction plant and machinery.
The Role
As a Plant Fitter, you will support engineers across workshop and site environments, learning how to maintain and repair equipment including:
Pumps
Generators
Compaction equipment
Specialist construction plant machinery
Your training will include:
Routine servicing and preventative maintenance
Mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
Hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Diesel and petrol engines
Braking, steering, and transmission systems
Welding and fabrication
Machine inspections and testing
Safe working practices and Health & Safety procedures
Use of modern diagnostic equipment
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Interested in mechanics, engineering, or construction plant equipment
Practical and keen to learn new skills
Reliable with a positive attitude
Able to work well as part of a team
A good problem solver with a hands-on approach
Willing to attend residential training blocks in Norfolk
