Manufacturing Facilities Engineer - Defence & Advanced Manufacturing (North West)
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 + benefits
Location: Greater Manchester
Contract: Permanent
A leading UK defence technology manufacturer - operating at the forefront of precision engineering and advanced manufacturing - is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Facilities Engineer to oversee and continually improve the performance, safety, and efficiency of their production sites in the North West.
In this role, you'll work closely with site leadership to develop and drive a comprehensive rolling facilities improvement plan, supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations across a highly regulated environment. standards.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement a 3-year facilities strategy aligned with wider operational goals.
Lead capital and improvement projects to enhance infrastructure performance.
Manage supplier and contractor relationships to ensure operational continuity.
Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programs.
What we're looking for:
HND/HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
Proven experience in facilities or maintenance engineering within a manufacturing, defence, or regulated environment.
Knowledge of compliance standards such as PUWER, LOTO, and HSE regulations.
Desirable:
NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification.
Familiarity with CMMS platforms (Agility or similar).
Any exposure to LEAN, Six Sigma, or project management tools (PRINCE2, PMP).
