Maintenance Engineer
Location: Enderby, Leicester
Salary: £47,000 per annum
Shift 1: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm | Saturday, 6:00am - 11:00am (every other Saturday, paid at overtime rate)
Shift 2: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a successful and growing business based in Enderby, Leicester.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs across a wide range of fixed plant and processing machinery. Working as part of a skilled Engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting the smooth running of site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and inspections across site machinery and equipment.
Respond to breakdowns and complete reactive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults effectively.
Maintain and repair a wide range of fixed plant equipment including gearboxes, conveyors, belts, chains, balers and associated machinery.
Carry out welding and fabrication work when required.
Complete maintenance records, reports and relevant documentation accurately.
Support continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Work closely with the Engineering team and wider site teams to ensure operational efficiency.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.Requirements:
Experience working on fixed plant, heavy machinery, recycling equipment, manufacturing machinery or similar environments.
Strong mechanical engineering and electrical knowledge with hands-on maintenance experience.
MUST be able to weld.
Experience working with conveyors, gearboxes, belts, chains, balers or similar equipment is desirable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider Engineering team.What's On Offer:
