Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Wellingborough? You will have experience of working within a FMCG environment and play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of up to c£47,000 working Monday - Friday - no nights & no weekends.
Hours of work:
(Week 1) 6am - 2pm
(Week 2) 2pm - 10pm
(Week 3) 8am - 4pm

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer your role will involve:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in accordance with maintenance schedules
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on manufacturing and packaging equipment
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance
Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company's CMMS system
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery
Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and engineering standards
Work closely with Production, Quality, and Operations teams to achieve business objectives
Suitable Candidate:
Apprentice trained (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent)
Experienced within manufacturing environments
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience with motors, sensors, inverters, conveyors, pneumatics
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
Previous experience in food, FMCG, packaging, or process manufacturing
PLC fault-finding experience
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
18th Edition qualification
Experience using CMMS software
