An established regional building contractor is looking to strengthen its delivery team with the appointment of a Site Engineer.
With an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects valued between £1m and £15m, the business operates across a diverse range of sectors including commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, leisure and public sector developments. Their success has been built on repeat business, long-standing client relationships and delivering projects to exceptionally high standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer looking to join a contractor offering genuine long-term career progression, varied projects and a supportive working environment.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of building projects from initial groundworks through to completion.
Responsibilities
• Setting out and surveying works using Leica or Trimble equipment.
• Producing and maintaining accurate QA documentation.
• Managing as-built records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Supporting Site Managers with daily planning and technical coordination.
• Liaising with subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
• Monitoring quality standards across all construction activities.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
• Assisting with temporary works coordination where required.
• Supporting the delivery of projects safely, on programme and within budget.
Requirements
• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer for a building contractor.
• Experience delivering new build and refurbishment projects.
• Competent using Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.
• Strong understanding of QA procedures and construction documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
