Assistant SENCo - September 2026 (or later)
We are seeking an outstanding Assistant SENCo to join a thriving Manchester Secondary School.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the outcomes of young people and work alongside an experienced team of SEND professionals.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, a permanent contract from the start may be considered.
Assistant SENCo - requirements
Ideally you will be:
· Experienced in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
· Knowledgeable about SEND provision, with a clear understanding of inclusive teaching and learning strategies
· Experienced in SEND Admin - such as submitting applications and writing plans.
· Able to work effectively with staff, students, parents and external agencies.
· A positive role model, demonstrating patience, empathy and professionalism.
· Enthusiastic about contributing to the wider life of the school.
· Keen to play a key role in identifying needs, coordinating interventions and supporting students who require additional help.
Assistant SENCo - the school
· Join an ofsted 'Good' Secondary School in Manchester serving a vibrant and diverse community
· Salary range - £30000-£36000 (For those with QTS - MPS-UPS + TLR will be considered)
· Start in September - later starts are an option for those with notice periods
· Supportive school with leading CPD on offer and huge focus on staff well-being
· Manchester based (north Manchester)
