Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist
Salary: £60,000–£65,000
Location: London (1 month office-based initially, then 3 days office / 2 days home)
Contract: Permanent
The Role
* Taking sole responsibility for the end-to-end UK & Ireland payroll and benefits function, processing payroll for approximately 400 employees, including a modified payroll for UK expatriates.
* Managing all payroll compliance, including HMRC, pensions, auto-enrolment, statutory reporting, P11Ds, payrolled benefits, audits, payroll journals and relationships with external payroll providers.
* Owning the administration and continuous improvement of the company's benefits offering, including pension schemes, benefit renewals, employee engagement, reporting and supporting wider reward initiatives.
* Acting as the payroll and benefits subject matter expert, partnering with HR, Finance and stakeholders across the business, resolving complex queries and delivering training, process documentation and business continuity planning.
* Leading process improvements, automation projects and payroll governance while supporting annual salary reviews, budgeting, international mobility reporting and wider payroll and benefits projects.
Ideal Candidate
* Significant experience managing UK payroll and benefits in a standalone or lead capacity.
* Experience processing Irish payroll and expatriate payrolls would be highly desirable.
* ADP iHCM2 experience is essential.
* Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pensions, benefits administration and payroll compliance, with CIPP qualification preferred.
* A confident self-starter with excellent stakeholder management skills, strong analytical ability and a stable career history who enjoys taking ownership of a payroll and benefits function.
