This well-regarded secondary school with a thriving sixth form has a strong reputation within the local community and is committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for its students. Due to an interim requirement, the school is seeking an experienced and highly organised PA to Headteacher to provide professional executive support while helping to coordinate the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

Your new role
This is a varied and fast-paced position where no two days are the same. Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will provide high-level administrative and confidential support while playing a key role in the organisation of daily staff cover.Key responsibilities will include:

Providing comprehensive PA support to the Headteacher.
Managing diaries, meetings, correspondence and communications.
Acting as a professional point of contact for staff, governors, parents and external stakeholders.
Coordinating and arranging meetings, events and school visits.
Managing confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Organising and sourcing daily staff cover for planned and unplanned absences.
Liaising with supply agencies and internal staff to ensure appropriate cover arrangements are in place.
Supporting Senior Leaders with administrative projects and priorities.What you'll need to succeed
Previous PA to Headteacher, PA to Principal, Executive Assistant to Headteacher, or equivalent senior school-based PA experience is absolutely essential for this role.Applications from candidates without previous experience supporting a Headteacher, Principal or senior school leadership team are unlikely to be considered.To be successful, you will have:

Proven experience as a PA to Headteacher, PA to Principal or similar within a school setting.
Experience coordinating staff cover, cover administration or workforce planning within education.
Excellent organisational and diary management skills.
The ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive and professional approach.
High levels of discretion and confidentiality.
Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence using school management systems.We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum and you will need to be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update service.
