Territory Sales Representative, UK
Reporting To: Area Manager
Location: United Kingdom (Territory Based)
Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time
Purpose of the Role
The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships within their assigned territory, promoting the company's range of machinery and solutions, and achieving agreed sales targets. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, providing commercial support to customers, and ensuring accurate sales administration through the Company's CRM system.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and sell the Company's machinery, products and services within the assigned territory.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Generate sales leads through prospecting, networking, customer visits and market research.
Prepare and present quotations and proposals, negotiating commercial terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to order placement and customer handover.
Ensure all customer interactions, opportunities and sales activities are accurately recorded and maintained within the Company's CRM system.
Process customer orders in accordance with Company procedures and support the successful delivery of projects.
Work collaboratively with internal departments, including Technical, Service, Customer Support and Finance, to provide an excellent customer experience.
Attend customer meetings, trade exhibitions, networking events and Company meetings as required.
Keep up to date with industry developments, competitor activity and the Company's product portfolio through ongoing training and development.
Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the Commercial team.
Key Competencies
Previous experience in a field-based sales or business development role.
Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Experience using CRM systems.
Commercial awareness with a customer-focused approach.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
