Our clients are specialists in their market sector, they are looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician on a permanent basis to work a continental shift system.

If you are a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician and happy to work a continental shift system this role could be ideal for you.

The Job you’ll do

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities in accordance with maintenance schedules, company procedures and statutory requirements.

* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore plant and equipment safely and efficiently.

* Carry out electrical fault finding, testing, repair and maintenance on production equipment, control systems and site services.

* Support mechanical maintenance activities, equipment overhauls and planned shutdown work where required.

* Complete maintenance work to a high standard, ensuring equipment is returned to service safely and reliably.

* Accurately record maintenance activities, labour, parts used and equipment history using the company's Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

* Identify equipment defects and raise additional work requests where further repairs or improvements are required.

* Contribute to Root Cause Analysis investigations to identify recurring equipment failures and support the implementation of permanent corrective actions.

* Assist with continuous improvement initiatives that improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency and operational performance.

* Support the installation, commissioning, modification and improvement of plant, machinery and associated infrastructure.

* Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and equipment handovers where required.

* Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Engineering and other departments to minimise downtime and support business objectives.

* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation in line with company standards (5S).

* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures, risk assessments, permit-to-work systems and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) requirements.

* Support statutory inspections and compliance activities relating to plant and equipment.

* Assist in the development and support of apprentices and colleagues where appropriate.

* Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the level and responsibilities of the role.

About You

Recognised engineering apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, Multi-Skilled Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline or HNC/HND in an engineering discipline.

Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

City & Guilds 2391, 2394 or 2395 (Inspection and Testing).

PLC training or fault-finding experience.

Hydraulics and pneumatics training or experience.

IOSH Working Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.

Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or Root Cause Analysis training.

MEWP, FLT or First Aid qualifications.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with the ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Well organised, with the ability to prioritise workload, work independently using initiative and respond effectively to changing production demands.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments and contribute positively as part of a team.

Committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship, with excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.

Proactive and solutions-focused, taking ownership of work, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and contributing to equipment reliability.

Flexible, professional and adaptable, with a positive attitude, high integrity and a willingness to learn, develop new skills and share knowledge with others.
