Shift Maintenance Electrician (4 on/4 off) - Sunderland - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Data Centre
CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Electrician to join one of our key clients on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a critical data centre environment, supporting the operation and maintenance of essential building services and infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have a strong electrical maintenance background, ideally gained within critical environments such as data centres, hospitals or other high dependency facilities.
The role is based in Sunderland and operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, covering both day and night shifts.
Package:
Competitive salary up to £41,000 per annum
13% shift allowance of £5,330 per annum, bringing total earnings to £46,330 per annum
Additional £1,500 per annum upon attaining HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person) status
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
Generous workplace pension scheme
Training, development & progression opportunitiesResponsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment
Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality
Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, such as wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures
Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environmentRequirements:
Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
HV Authorised Person (HVAP) experience or willingness to work towards accreditation
Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations
Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
