NPI Quality Engineer

Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation operating within a highly regulated industry, delivering innovative and complex products to customers worldwide. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and technical excellence, the business is investing in new product development and seeks to strengthen its Quality team by adding an experienced NPI Quality Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate/Junior Engineer with a year’s experience in Quality.

About the Role

As the NPI Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and product development activities, ensuring quality requirements are embedded throughout the design, development, and manufacturing lifecycle.

Working closely with Engineering, Project Management, Customers, and Suppliers, you will drive quality standards, lead investigations, support audits, and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the NPI Quality Engineer

Lead Quality activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes.
Support product development through design reviews, gate reviews, and quality planning activities.
Develop and maintain project quality plans to ensure customer and contractual requirements are achieved.
Drive root cause investigations using FRACAS, RCCA, 8D, and other quality methodologies.
Manage and support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
Conduct product, process, and system audits to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
Review and update quality procedures, processes, and standards.Requirements of the NPI Quality Engineer

Proven experience in a Quality Engineering position.
Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Excellent programme, project, and time management skills.
