Senior NPI Quality Engineer

Up to £45,000 DOE

Yolk Recruitment are supporting a recruitment campaign for a Senior NPI Quality Engineer to join an innovative high-tech manufacturing organisation in Swansea. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in NPI, APQP, PPAP and regulated manufacturing environments to play a key role in bringing new products from design through to successful production launch.

Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will lead quality activities across the full New Product Introduction lifecycle, ensuring products, processes and suppliers meet the highest standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams while leading a team of quality professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the successful delivery of APQP and PPAP activities from product design through to production release.
Manage completion of key NPI quality deliverables including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, FAIRs and validation activities.
Represent Quality within cross-functional NPI project teams, working closely with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
Develop and implement quality standards, specifications, inspection requirements and manufacturing controls.
Support supplier quality activities including PPAP submissions, supplier audits, documentation reviews and corrective actions.
Lead investigations into NPI quality issues, applying structured problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis and CAPA processes.
Identify and mitigate product, process and supply chain risks throughout the development lifecycle.
Support regulatory compliance activities, ensuring products meet relevant quality standards and industry requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance APQP/PPAP processes, reduce manufacturing risks and improve product quality.
Provide regular reporting on NPI quality performance, project risks, supplier quality and improvement opportunities to the Head of Quality.What You'll Need

Proven experience delivering the APQP/PPAP lifecycle within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Experience within industries such as medical devices, automotive or other regulated manufacturing sectors.
Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.What You'll Get
