Trades UK Recruitment are working with a well-established commercial and industrial construction contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects across Yorkshire and the North East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of projects from procurement through to final account, ensuring commercial performance is effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
🔸 Managing project costs from inception to completion
🔸 Procurement of subcontractors and materials
🔸 Managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
🔸 Producing commercial reports and cost forecasts
🔸 Assisting with project estimating when required
🔸 Working closely with the accounts and commercial teams
🔸 Attending site meetings and carrying out site visits as necessary
Requirements
🔸 Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
🔸 Strong understanding of subcontractor accounts and cost management
🔸 Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
🔸 Commercially aware with a proactive, hands-on approach
🔸 Excellent communication and negotiation skills
