Our client, a prominent organisation in the power utilities and energy sector, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Leeds. This permanent role involves working on a broad range of construction projects and offers exposure to the full scope of power delivery projects, including civils, substation builds, and commissioning works up to 132kV.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure robust cost and value management and the completion of monthly CVRs
Ensure both the client and supply contracts are robust and adequate for the scope
Provide Cash Flow Forecasts
Measurement and valuations of works for applications
Cost variations and final accounts with clients and suppliers
Identify and notify Early Warnings and Compensation Events
Establishment and chairing of monthly project reviews
Managing the dispute and defects process with the Client
Attend Client progress meetings
Follow procedures for Client Work Approval
Post Audit of works commercially
Manage Invoicing and Debts
Effective communication with all levels of personnel
Supply chain management
Provide innovative ideas and support continuous improvement
Job Requirements:
Background in Quantity Surveying on projects within the construction industry (utilities/power T&D desirable)
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong undertanding and working knowledge of NEC contracts
Full UK Driving Licence
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
MRICS qualification - Desirable
