Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Business Support Officer to join the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Team at Liverpool City Council on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive administrative and business support to the Special Educational Needs Team.
* Process and maintain Education, Health and Care (EHC) documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory timescales.
* Coordinate meetings, reviews and appointments, including preparing agendas and distributing relevant paperwork.
* Maintain accurate electronic records and update case management systems.
* Manage shared inboxes, respond to telephone and email enquiries, and act as the first point of contact for parents, schools and professionals.
* Prepare correspondence, reports and other documentation to support the SEN Team.
* Liaise with schools, educational settings, health professionals and social care colleagues to support the delivery of SEN services.
* Monitor workflow and ensure documentation is processed within required deadlines.
* Support data collection, reporting and performance monitoring.
* Undertake general administrative duties including filing, scanning, minute taking and document management.
Requirements
* Previous experience working in a Business Support, Administration or Customer Service role, ideally within Children's Services, Education or the public sector.
* Excellent communication skills
