Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security, Marine, and Maritime sectors, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in the stunning West Highlands of Scotland, covering Kyle of Lochalsh and Applecross.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities across site infrastructure and facilities
Diagnose faults and undertake repairs on electrical systems and associated equipment
Support maintenance activities relating to building services, plant, and site assets
Prioritise maintenance tasks to meet operational requirements and business needs
Participate in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support when required
Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and environmental procedures
Monitor contractor activities and ensure work is completed to the required standards
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance function
Job Requirements:
Essential Experience:
Proven experience working as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or in a similar maintenance role
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience delivering planned and preventative maintenance programmes
Good understanding of building services and facilities maintenance
Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, or suppliers
Strong awareness of health and safety legislation and safe systems of work
Understanding of service delivery standards, KPIs, and maintenance performance targets
Essential Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC Level 3, ONC/OND, or equivalent qualification in an Electrical discipline
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Experience within industrial, defence, utilities, marine, manufacturing, or facilities management environments
Mechanical maintenance knowledge alongside electrical expertise
Experience working to SFG20 maintenance standards
