Location: Hampshire
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights)
Hours: 5:30 - 5:30
Salary: Up to £55,000 + 5% bonus + 5% matched pension + Training allowance for City & Guilds recognised qualifications up to £3,000 per annum

I’m currently working with a well-established food manufacturing business to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their site in Hampshire.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced, chilled manufacturing environment, offering a strong salary, and long-term stability within a growing engineering team and a business that will invest in your development.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining site performance and reliability across production and packaging operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Responding to breakdowns and fault-finding to minimise downtime
* Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance across plant and machinery
* Supporting small continuous improvement and reliability projects
* Working closely with Production, Technical, and Hygiene teams
* Accurately completing maintenance records and documentation
* Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and food safety standards
What I’m Looking For
* Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing
* MUST HAVE: NVQ / C&G recognised Electrical qualification, your application will not be considered if not
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capability
* Experience working with pneumatics and reading technical drawings
* Fabrication and welding skills
* A recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
* A proactive, problem-solving approach and strong team ethic
