Quantity Surveyor – Edinburgh

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established fit out contractor based in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious commercial professional to become a key member of the team, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and contributing to the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction projects across Scotland.

The business delivers a broad range of projects from refurbishment and fit-out works, working with both public and private sector clients. Projects vary in scale and complexity, offering exposure to a wide range of commercial challenges and opportunities for professional growth.

The Role

Managing project costs from inception through to completion.
Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Monitoring budgets and ensuring commercial performance targets are achieved.
Supporting procurement and subcontractor management activities.
Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
Producing accurate financial reporting and forecasts.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Providing commercial support across multiple projects while ensuring value and profitability are maintained.
The Candidate

Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry.
Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
