We are recruiting a Quality Manager for an established aerospace manufacturing business in Rochford, Essex. This is a hands-on management role — you will be the company's quality representative, responsible for the quality management system, all FAIRs and LAIRs to customer sign-off, and managing a team of two inspectors.

Key Responsibilities
* Creating and approving FAIRs and LAIRs to specification, including VisualFAIR software
* Acting as the approved signatory for release and inspection-related quality processes
* Planning and conducting internal and external audits to ISO 9100 and AS9100 standards
* Maintaining calibrated equipment and ensuring readiness for manufacturing at all times
* Managing, leading and developing the inspection team
* Supporting continuous improvement across the business
* Participating in management review meetings with the production team
What We Are Looking For
* Solid aerospace manufacturing background — this is essential
* End-to-end FAIRs experience to customer sign-off — this is the key requirement
* AS9100 and ISO 9100 knowledge and audit qualification
* EASA awareness
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Experience managing or supervising a small team (2 experienced inspectors)
* OASIS experience is useful but not essential
