MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
Location: Leeds
Salary: £50,000
Shift: Days and Nights
We are recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established manufacturing business in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical maintenance professional to join a stable site where you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and availability of production machinery and site services.
Job Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy manufacturing environment. You will be working on a range of automated production machinery and electrical systems, diagnosing faults and ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard.
The role will involve electrical fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, continuous improvement and supporting the ongoing reliability of the site.
Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Maintenance Electrician:
Completed a recognised Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
Strong electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial or automated environment.
Experience with electrical fault finding and maintenance of industrial machinery.
Comfortable working a days and nights shift pattern.
Able to work independently and respond effectively to breakdowns.
Requirements for the Maintenance Electrician:
Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
Experience with fault finding on industrial electrical systems.
Good understanding of electrical control systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Previous experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Electrician:
Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery.
Knowledge of automation and control systems.
Experience with continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
Additional mechanical maintenance experience would be advantageous.
