Job Purpose
To provide accurate, timely and efficient financial and administrative support to the business, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. The role is responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, supporting credit control and supplier payments.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, the Finance Assistant will help ensure financial compliance, deliver excellent internal and external customer service, and contribute to the efficient operation of a fast-paced, customer-focused organisation.
Job Responsibilities
* Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and on time.
* Allocate customer receipts and supplier payments.
* Support credit control and follow up outstanding payments.
* Prepare supplier payment runs.
* Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
* Respond to finance queries from customers, suppliers and colleagues.
* Ensure compliance with finance policies and procedures.
* Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
* Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role.
Skills Required
* Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience using Sage 50 (desirable)
