Quantity Surveyor - Tunbridge Wells

About the role of Quantity Surveyor

Looking for a quantity surveyor to work on a long term commercial build. The project value is £5,000,000. Looking for someone who has experience delivering commercial, or refurbishment projects at a value over £1,000,000. Working across a range of commercial construction projects, you'll be responsible for managing costs from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual requirements.

Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
Commercial management of construction projects
Cost planning, valuations, and forecasting
Procurement and management of subcontractors
Managing variations and final accounts
Producing commercial reports and cost analysis
Liaising with clients, consultants, and project teams

Requirements of Quantity Surveyor

Previous experience as a QS
Previous Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor
Commercial construction background
Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
Full UK Driving Licence

The project is a commercial build and has a long duration.
