Location: Canary Wharf, London
Salary: £58,000 per annum + Overtime + Excellent Benefits

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Shift Lead to join our established engineering team at a prestigious commercial site in Canary Wharf. The Role

As the Mechanical Shift Lead, you will oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a high-profile commercial building while leading a team of engineers to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and support a team of shift engineers.

* Carry out and oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

* Ensure all mechanical plant and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

* Respond to critical plant failures and coordinate repairs.

* Manage contractors and specialist service providers on site.

* Ensure all statutory compliance and health & safety procedures are followed.

* Complete maintenance documentation and reporting accurately.

* Provide technical support and mentoring to the engineering team.

* Liaise with clients and management to maintain excellent service delivery.

What We're Looking For

* Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

* Previous experience within commercial building maintenance.

* Experience leading or supervising an engineering team.

* Strong knowledge of HVAC, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, boilers, and associated mechanical systems.

* Good understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* Ability to work effectively within a shift environment.
